Cebu is home to Cebu City, the Queen City of the Southern Philippines where summer never seems to end. The city is not the only place of interest as the whole island sports fascinating sceneries awaiting for you to discover. There is no doubt that many foreigner have been awestruck by the majestic and energetic atmosphere of the tiny island. For the locals, nothing beats the fun of entering Cebu by boat from Metro Manila which typically sails for 12 hours. Although if you are easily bored, an hour flight will do just fine. If you travel by boat, seeing the two gigantic bridges as you cross the Mactan Isle cements unforgettable memories not because of the structures but the sceneries surrounding them. So without further ado, the following is the list for your most romantic activities in Cebu.

Sirao Garden | Busay, Cebu

It will take at least an hour to reach the place that has now gained popularity by word of mouth and in the social media — the Sirao Garden also known as the Little Amsterdam or the Mini Holland of Cebu. Sirao is a barangay in Busay, geographically, located 17 kms from the city proper.   Starting point is from JY Square, Lahug, Cebu City.

THE MUCH raved about flower farms at Sitio Tawagan in the mountain village of Sirao, Cebu City will widely open their gates this Valentine’s Day for couples and families who fancy spending the love day amid a scenic mountain view and a backdrop of variegated rows of celosia.

To prepare for the big day, the Sirao Garden-Mini Amsterdam designed heart-shaped stand-up props, stationed in different corners of the flower farm, as an added attraction aside from the already Instagram-worthy flowers in the garden so that people can have “selfies” or “groufies” with their loved ones.

As an added treat, garden owner, Maria Elena Sy-Chua said that similar to what they did on Valentine’s Day last year, sweets like chocolates will be given to visitors.

If you and your loved one are the adventurous type, then nothing beats the fun of diving together in Moalboal. The dive sites boast of rich marine life which are not far from the beaches. You can also have a lovely dinner at sunset on the island’s fascinating restaurants or simply relaxed by the golden sandy beaches with a glass of margarita! The central tourist activity in Moalboal is recreational diving. Its reefs along the western side of the island are home to a wide variety of marine life and other intriguing fish species. In particular, scuba divers, snorkelers and free divers would love exploring the natural structure of the reef which tails the stretch of the coastline of Pescador Island, about a couple of kilometers from Moalboal. Of course, because of its clear ocean waters and exquisite beaches, swimming and sun bathing are likewise a common sight.

Tops, Cebu City

Tops is considered as a getaway within the city since it is placed high atop the sprawling hilly suburbs of interestingly named Beverly Hills. It would be the best place for you and your love one to just sit and talk while overlooking the beautiful cebu city lights. You can buy a good wine and a dine with your romantic partner while you plan all your future tripping.

Another waterfall worth the visit is the heavenly Tumalog Falls, where you will be inspired by this amazing wonder of mother nature.
